Pastor Katrina Pahulu
Since July 1, 2025, Katrina Pahulu has been serving as the half-time pastor at Patagonia Community United Methodist Church. Katrina brings with her a heart for spiritual formation, community connection, and creative ministry that bridges the church and the world. Her leadership is rooted in compassion, service, and a deep desire to help others grow closer to God through everyday life.
A Hawaii native who spent most of her life in California, Katrina brings with her a blend of island warmth and mainland ministry experience, having been active in ministry alongside her family, serving in various roles from youth leadership and retreat planning to worship coordination and teaching. She is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Claremont School of Theology, with a focus on Ministerial Leadership, and is a certified candidate for ministry in the Desert Southwest Conference of The United Methodist Church. Her call to the diaconate centers on “word, service, compassion, and justice,” seeking to connect faith with action and nurture spiritual growth both inside and outside the church walls.
Katrina has a special passion for fasting and prayer, women’s ministry, and retreats that create space for healing, renewal, and deeper connection with God. She also feels called to holistic wellness ministries – helping people integrate faith, health, and purpose into a balanced life. Whether preaching, organizing, or simply listening, she strives to lead with authenticity and joy, helping others experience God’s transforming grace in tangible ways.
Outside of ministry, Katrina enjoys traveling, exercising, gardening, and spending time with her family. She loves learning, creating, and finding new ways to bring beauty, order, and inspiration into the spaces she serves.
The mission of Patagonia Community United Methodist Church is to share God’s love in Christ, build community and faith, and serve in mission and social holiness.
