Choir Rehearsal

If you love music, you are invited to join the PCUMC Choir. The ability to read music is not a requirement for joining; if you can carry a tune, you can sing in the choir!

As a rule, we rehearse Tuesday evenings from 7-8:15pm in the Choir Room in Thurber Hall, which is adjacent to the sanctuary. From late September to December, the "cantata choir" rehearses from 7-7:30pm, followed by the "Sunday choir" from 7:30-8:15pm. The "Sunday choir" participates in the 10am Sunday worship service from Labor Day weekend through Pentecost and takes a break in the summer.

On Sunday mornings, we warm up in the Choir Room at 9:30am, following the 9am Adult Bible Study that meets in the classroom down the hall from the Choir Room.

We present a Christmas cantata in Advent; our recent offerings have included "Ceremony of Candles" (2016), "Love Came Down at Christmas" (2015), "The Promise of a King" (2014), and "Christmas Seekers" (2013).

If you’re interested in helping us "make a joyful noise," either in the cantata choir or the "Sunday choir”--or both!--please contact Anne Quirin, Choir Director, at 394-2982.

Thanks to all who add joy to our worship by participating in the choir!
